Re: June 2022 Gallery - enter here
Sunday Afternoon Excursion on the BWLR IMG_E3166[1].jpg This is my favourite train mainly because these Brandbright carriages were made the year before I actually started construction in the garden and so are some of the first 16mm vehicles I built and I have to say I think I made a good job of them...

Re: Wagon Scratch Bashes
Looks amazing and the rivets will really help the look of the finished wagon (and keep any rivet counters occupied for a while )
Splendid work!

Re: The Bishop's Woodland Light Railway (BWLR)
More about the track realignment. As the railway and the range of motive power I have acquired has developed its has become apparent that here and there some changes could be made to facilitate easier running, particularly for manual control steam engines. The first change I've made is where the lin...

Re: The Bishop's Woodland Light Railway (BWLR)
How do you operate the terminus behind the shed?! It looks to be a very tight squeeze! It is! However it's not quite as bad as it seems from the photos, as there is good access from the side of the shed to the buffer stop end of the station(from whence the photos are taken) and access round the oth...

Re: The Bishop's Woodland Light Railway (BWLR)
I've not posted on this thread for a while. Its not so much that I haven't been up to much with the railway, just never get round to posting too often! You may have seen my Soller tram car in one of the other threads, so that is one project I've been working on over the winter. I've also renovated o...

Whilst I'm on this thread, an update on the Occre Soller Tram kit I was building which is now finished, but as mentioned earlier in the thread, I still need to motorise it.

Re: March 2022 Gallery - Enter Here
Some really good entries already! Like a lot of light railways the BWLR doesn't go in for signalling in a big way. However it shares a quirky fact with its near neighbour the Derwent Valley Light Railway in that it has just one signal... So here is my entry for this month. "Down mixed train lea...

Re: So, what have you been up to with your railway?
Hello-excellent work going on there. Would you be able to tell me the floor to axle distance using the original wheelsets, as I am cooperating on a possible drop-in motorised axle? That's actually a really good question, as while I have completed the body & roof I've not yet started on the unde...

Re: So, what have you been up to with your railway?
As a bit of a diversion I've recently been working on an Occre Soller Tram car kit. I've got a bit of a weak spot for trams like this... Body and interior are complete and once the roof is done, I shall work on how best to motorise it. Probably going to be spring until, its finished as I will probab...

Re: O gauge track for 16mm?
Welcome to the forum Zeno! I think it is a great idea to try and re-use the track , especially if it is going to be a temporary situation and you are planning to move to the UK - paying out for new track and the shipping costs etc. and then having to take it back to Britain doesn't make a lot of sen...
