I think you need to be logged on to your account too for the voting circles to show - just check that your computer hasn't logged you out.

Re: eBay madness
Yes that is bonkers, If you wanted one they do crop up for about 2K, there's something quite clunky and wrong with Roundhouse's version but can't put my finger on what it is. John Please can you find me one for £2000 - it's a loco on my bucket list :D . I've watched 3 sell so far this year, all for...

Re: Merlin Leek and Manifold
Dads Merlin L & M has found a new home, probably the best place it could go. It is with a collector on the south coast who also has the Merlin 'Beast' and a Mac Muckley L & M. He is delighted with it. Sad to see it go but nice to see it being appreciated and being used regularly. We hope to ...

Re: Lets see your Pearse live steam locos
Good idea.....
Here's my Dads Auric awaiting a rebuild - hopefully it will be running in the spring. He thinks he has all the parts bar a bracket to hold the boiler to the chassis.
George.

Re: Pearse USA style locomotives
Ian - Mike isn't the only one interested in Pearse build numbers. I would be very interested in build numbers for the Auric and Lew if you had an approximate idea? Btw - the Merlin L & M has found a new home, probably the best place it could go. It is with a collector on the south coast who also...

The track behind the train swoops away towards the 'Newlyn' end of the line.
Credit to Peter and Bruce Dawes for the location and Tony Rodwell for the first 3 coaches and Lyn.

Re: Wadebridge Light Railway
Yep, that bridge looks much better. well done! I love the head-on shot of the train approaching the junction, just lovely. Ditto - you beat me to it Philip. :) Rik Thanks, it was hard to get a shot without it looking like a building site - hence the low angle. Enjoy indeed. Nice work on the bridge ...

I use a junior hacksaw with a metal cutting blade and that works well so you should be fine. Maybe, as tom said, a different blade is in order?

Not the best quality video I'm afraid. Again this was taken at Peter and Bruce Dawes West Cornwall Light Railway. All the buildings you see are miniature versions of buildings in St Just which Peter has scratch built himself!

Re: Wadebridge Light Railway
I think it's about time for an update! The railway has been out of action since February but it has finally been connected up again. The bridge was rebuilt (you were right Phillipy - I wasn't happy with the bridge - it was more of a temporary arrangement but the new one should suffice!) IMG_20190624...

Re: Merlin Leek and Manifold
As promised we took the Merlin for a proper test at our local Reading Group garden railway meeting a couple of weeks ago and I'm pleased to say that it's performance exceeded our expectations. The venue was Peter and Bruce Dawes superb West Cornwall Light Railway. Raising steam in the new station ar...
