Re: Gmeinder & Co loco
With filament you wouldn't get the same level of detail, for certain, but I'm not sure just how much you would actually lose. In due course, I'll probably upload the stl's on here, so you could try printing one of the front bonnet sides by itself and see if it works and whether you think it worth g...

Re: Nolwyn Valley Tramway
Wow, that's a bit of a shock. Looks nice though. :thumbright: Looking forward to the tutorial, I tried to make one using giphy, I got a trial clip and it works on my laptop, but it won't load onto the forum. Tried 'Add Files' and 'Link' but it just doesn't like it, must be doing something not right....

Re: Gmeinder & Co loco
So there is no way I could print it with just filament then, that's such a shame, I think it's a brilliant build and extremely well designed.

Re: Photos Removal
Thanks you both. My MacBook Pro has SSD Drew and yes when I first got it, it was really really fast, but now it kind of works fine sometimes then it just gets ridiculously slow. I have Mackeeper for which has helped but it still gets overworked and it seems that my photos and videos are slowing it d...

Photos Removal
This is kind of an Off Topic. I would like to know if I removed my photos off my MacBook, (I have over 12000 photos and 500 videos) would removing them also remove them off the forum. My MacBook is really old now, Vintage apparently, :lol :lol and is getting slow because they are taking up a lot of ...

Re: Using TinkerCAD to produce drawings for 3-D Printing
Well I bit the bullet and downloaded Fusion.....it looks so powerful and for me far too difficult to get to grips with. Has many members know I can't spend to long at my laptop anymore and if I did Anne wouldn't be best pleased, so it is Tinkercad for me I'am afraid, I know it has it's limitations ...

Re: Gmeinder & Co loco
The biggest bits are the two side frames, which are 150mm long, I don't know if they will fit on your printer bed, I know you've had size problems before? Will they fit diagonally? Rik PS I think you mean PLA filament. Sorry to be pedantic. Your correct Rik....PLA.. :lol :lol And it all depe...

Re: Nolwyn Valley Tramway
It would be a shame to remove the circular pond, it makes for a better feature and also a small waterfall. If you could use even just 6" of that unused space with the rubble, you would still then be able to use the larger stock and for me it would be look more aesthetically better and also make...

Re: Gmeinder & Co loco
Would I be able to print that on my printer using PVA or similar. I have only actually printed with PVA though. It's just that you hear some stories about how difficult ABS and other filament can be. I have had some rubbish PVA though and it's been really terrible to use. I am no where near ready to...

Re: Nolwyn Valley Tramway
Looks like things are progressing well Drew. Would it not be possible to run you track on the other side of the right hand fence, you could have a nice curve then for larger stock.
I think I would be asking the "Boss" if it was possible...

Re: Gmeinder & Co loco
Just been looking at your thread Philip and I have to say you are getting more and more professional at this stuff. The loco you are doing is looking just like the real thing and for you to do that with out very little in the way of dimensions is just exceptional and mind blowing with your human mov...

Re: Gears
I bought it off EBay Rik and I have had it for about 2+ years, so I can’t remember what it was to start with. All well I might just have to try and look for something with the same diameter of axle and take it from there I think
