Re: 7/8ths for 32mm track

Youn can do this, I run a 32mm railway. Very exotic in Germany. It is the gauge of the 62cm narrow gauge railways, for example the Darjeeling railway. You have some suppliers, where You can select the gauge, for exampel Swift Sixteen, IP Engineering, Roundhouse, here in Germany Regner Easy line and ...

Re: Top up valves and anti-vacuum valves.

The top up valve over the sight glas seems to be be an additional mounted tune up part. As I know was this not ex works. Its function beside feeding is to rinse free the sight glass for better function during water feeding. Regner use this technology since a long time very successfull in there 4mm s...

Re: Mamod rolling stock gauge change. 32 to 45

You can do this by bending the sheets with the axle bushes out of another until You can remove and change the axles. I know this from my tender, hauled by a Regner Konrad, which is regaugabel too. I have to do this often, when I visit friends driving on 45mm LGB track, for I drive on 32mm MSS track i...

Don`t forgett to remove 30ml water from the fullfilled boiler! If this was correct done than I can only imagine this an...

Re: Is the mark 3 a good locomotive?

Hallo, I own a completely upgraded MSS comparable with the MK lll. Generally I would not recommend this loko. It is and remains without a better chassis, wheels and axels a not very strong and reliable toy. Spare some time a little and buy a Roundhouse Millie or a Regner Easy Line engine and You get...

Re: New Millie

Hallo Mark, Your problem with the regulator is not really a problem. As I understud the retainer nut is moving during the throttel is changed from closed to open, following it becomes unsealed. Tighten the scrab nut with the fingers until she remains during moving the throttle. It even helps...

Re: New Millie

Hallo Mark, it was an excellent decision to start with a RH Millie. I did it before 2 years in the same way. In the meantime she developed with me to my best runner on my 32mm railway. Even good fellows, who create famouse home build engines love her as as best reliable and hard working horse. This ...
