Great photos! Hope you don't mind, I saved a copy of the first one, want to use it for my desktop background.

Number 24 does look a little odd with its headlight pointed to the sky. But it's a good looking engine.

We have a g-gauge (1:20.3 to 1:29) DCC outdoor layout. Stainless steel rail is what we use. Our biggest cleaning is with the locomotive wheels. Plants growing in ways that the locomotive drives over rather than just pushing out of the way and bugs on the rail when a locomotive comes by get smashed a...

With darkness arriving so much earlier, I thought I'd try another night shot. This photo was taken with a 25 second exposure at f8. The line of light is from the headlight of a Bachmann 3-truck shay headed down the mountain.

C&S#59 Station pass-engineers view

This video is the engineers view of the above station pass. Sorry for the down grade in quality, the original upload was nice, but YouTube really down graded the details. <object width="640" height="480"><param name="movie" value="//www.youtube.com/v/ToDCmGIHfD0?ve...

Well, I'm on the other side of the pond, but when we have children/teenagers other than our family over, it seems to be the newer diesel engines they are interested in. That makes me worried for steam. And steam is how it all began. I haven't run my diesel engines in years. Thinking of selling them....

We have had our share of mosquitoes this year too. That can make photo taking a challenge sometimes.
