Re: Merlin Spares

As Tony said try Simon.
However, banjo bolts are used on a lot of other things, fuel systems on cars for one. If you have a local Diesel injection specialist they may be able to help If you take along the parts.

Can you post a picture of the bits and where it screws in to?

I think to get the scale look, you would have to make them yourself.

Stunning work on the cylinder end caps Tom. That makes a huge difference.

Re: Smokey Sophie - A Roundhouse/Riverdale Amy coal fire build

I agree. The toning down has made it a more work like loco. Did working locos keep their colours. Most photos I see of the old working locos are black/dirty black. But now when you see them on heritage lines, they are coloured, as well as black. It depended on where they were and who looked after t...

Re: RH Double Fairlie

The cost is what it is, it what it has to be. Roundhouse is not a charity, they pay their workers, holidays, sick leave, etc. They have to send their kids to school. They have to devote time and a profit % to new product development or perish, they store stock, they give customer service, it is a p...

Genetics explained- If your Dad can't father children, neither can you.
Clever. But does that take account of the milkman?

Rik
The milkman is rapidly becoming a rare sight in the UK. Does this explain the falling birth rates in some areas?

You can buy a 5" gauge loco for that price.
Ahem, I have four large scale engines that cost me less than that in total. (Cough, cough don't tell the wife.)

Re: What did your pets have for Christmas?

Thank you folks. It was very sad to say goodbye to Thicky as it was when we had to have Fatty put down in the summer. It was a very odd feeling coming into the house on Monday last week and not having something furry running up to me and demanding food or a fuss. The new cat has settled herself in v...

Birthday Party

I have just attended a birthday party for one of my parishoners who is celebrating her 107th birthday today. Now rather infirm in body she is still fairly sharp in mind. It was quite an amazing sight to see her and my son ( who is days away from his 7th birthday) sharing a joke. One hundred years se...

Re: What did your pets have for Christmas?

Bit of an odd one from me. We had to have Thicky the cat put down on the Sunday before Christmas. She was the last of two sisters that we had been owned by since 2001. Since we have lived in this house we have been feeding a stray cat that lived under the shed. She would never come into the house as...
