Re: Welcome to the CHLR

Sorry to hear of your issues, but I am glad plans are afoot for a new line. I wonder if His Lordship had ever come across the Hon. Titus A. Duxsarrse of PMR fame? The assorted Dais are currently unemployed due to the PMR's moth balled status. Let me know if you want me to send them up north in the p...

Re: The Great Forum Railway Inspection

Pre build site survey, I can do.

"This is a large expanse of waterlogged garden and muck, Garden Railway for the possible use of"

Repeat ad infinitum.

Re: The Great Forum Railway Inspection

Yes please, I am sure a yard of the PMR could be resurrected for inspection or possibly my local ME track.

Re: Brandbright Circket smoke generator trials

Absolutely brilliant. Ever thought of going into production with them? Pretty sure there would be a market for them, not least of all with myself standing in the queue :thumbup: :thumbup: I imagine most people view smoke generators in diesels as unrealistic as a well running engine doesn't smoke so...

Re: Accucraft Baguley Drewery - Thunderbird loco

Glad to hear Accucraft sorted out the iffy bits. Odd about the interference with the radio. I don't think any of my engines have suppressors fitted and I have not had a problem for years. It used to be a major point of argument when running a 00 train set on the carpet when the rest of the family we...

Re: Cleaning after using super glue

Stainless steel sewing pin to seal the nozzle (instead of the provided cap) - as long as the nozzle hole is no bigger than the dia of the pin. Use one with big plastic ball for the head not the all metal pin (easier to pull to open) Also keep the glue in the fridge. What he said. I also tend to use...

Re: B@&&*Y Internet

4G on your phone or hotspot it so you can use your computer. BT have hundreds of free Wi-Fi locations as well providing you are a customer. Other ISP's provide similar schemes, worth checking. Mobile internet is iffy to say the least in my part of Wales and while I did make the most of the local pu...

B@&&*Y Internet

I am finally back on line after losing my internet signal in early Jan. I am with BT and I have had a intermittent problem for months, after two engineers visits to the house and several "we have sent a bloke to check the box in the village" events. I have been sent a new Smart Hub. Surprise, surpri...

Re: Where do you start?

With regard to atmosphere, that's a really useful thought. I've spent my spare time writing a 5 page history of the fictional Welsh county in which the railway exists, which has organically then developed a geology for the railway which I'll factor in. It's going to have a north Wales vibe, but be ...

As Tony said try Simon.
However, banjo bolts are used on a lot of other things, fuel systems on cars for one. If you have a local Diesel injection specialist they may be able to help If you take along the parts.

Can you post a picture of the bits and where it screws in to?
