Thanks all

Turns out they were soldered on, but brute force did the trick. I would have applied heat if I'd known, but there we are. I'm replacing them with SwiftSixteen ones btw.

Adding revolving spectacle plates

Hi all, can anybody advise me how to remove the spectacle plates on an Accucraft Caradoc? I want to fit the Swift Sixreen revolving ones, but can't see how to take the old ones off without damage.

Cheers in advance.

Hi. This is a most inspiring thread, I've enjoyed seeing your line develop and I like the way it integrates with the landscape. I hope you can enjoy it well now that you have a circuit. Just one question, have you treated the wooden posts used to support the platform at all ?

Wheels on and off axles

Putting the wheel set in the freezer is a great tip! Frees up the wheels without any further abuse!

I have had a similar problem and have now acquired some gears from Cambrian, so the next question is what its the safest way to get an IP wheel off of the axle?

Caradoc overhaul

Hi all. I'm thinking of getting my Caradoc overhauled to fix timing and general wear prior to fitting r/c. Any recommendations and can anybody offer a ballpark figure?

Thanks in advance

Sluggish lumberjack

Morning all. I have flushed out the whole gas system and reassembled. There followed a couple of weeks away from home, but I finally found time for a test stream the other day. It wasn't an instant success, the gas would not blow back into the boiler tube, then suddenly it did and that familiar bans...

Thanks everybody, I think I'll go for a full flush out since I have to dismantle it anyway. I'll let you know.

I did take the jet out, turn it around and give it a blast. It seems odd that it should work for a few minutes and then give trouble again. Should I flush out the tank etc with something too?

Sluggish lumberjack

Sounds like a pub doesn't it! Can anybody assist? My Regner Lumberjack is having problems maintaining pressure, I cleaned out the gas system last night, noticed the collar holding the jet assembly had been loose, and when I put it all back together again, things seemed fine for 10 minutes or so, the...
