I like the bridge, a darn site easier than cutting bits of aluminium...I should know...
I think the colour scheme is cool too.

Re: Other Gauge Stuff
They do look very cheap for the bridge you get but being flat as Philip said they're probably best suited to a larger layout where the lack of detail may be less noticeable.

Glad others see the same, just wish I had the skill to turn the mundane into a work of art.

Re: Another milestone reached
Yes, well, 60 passed by fairly smoothly....a glass of Sambuca, vodka and Baileys (scary spice lived up to her name) on top of Jaegar bombs made for a lively evening for poor old Dick Van Dyke. Went down with a stinking cold last week but cleaned the railway the weekend and beginning to think plastic...

Re: Another milestone reached
Hearty Birthday greetings from me too, I hope you have a great day and enjoy the occasion. My own next birthday will be 70, but not just yet. You have much catching up to do! Thanks guys, I have to say that I found 60 more painful mentally than either 40 or 50. Alas, no train pictures as I've been ...

Re: Meanderings in Dorset and Devon
Slow on the up take sorry, still wrestling with 4mm. I hope you enjoyed the Gartell railway, it's owned by my wife's uncle and aunt. Had the privilege of driving an ex peat works lister along the line in the late 80s when still under construction. I can still picture "old" Mr Gartell as hi...

Re: Wadebridge Light Railway
Welcome aboard George. That's a cracking railway to start your introduction I do love that little turntable, I wish I had taken the time to build one at the end of my run round loop. As Andrew said good planning and engineering pays off, as Mr Impatient I can vouch for that...

Re: Vale of Fairway
I'm about to flog a load of OO stuff from the 80s - it's not worth much any more, but it takes up a lot of space! It's BR Western Region stuff I've still got hornby vdas and lima hoppers from the 80s in the attic, I even started upgraded to bachmann 37s before the garden bug but even they are dated...

Re: Vale of Fairway
It's busy alright, the top picture has a six foot skinny bramble growing across the track. The upper track is lost under the crazy nasturtiums I can only ever see a 4mm layout being a 4 x 1 foot micro affair. Cheaper on locos! The loco I got is missing a buffer and a window so at £130 seemed a cheap...

Re: Vale of Fairway
We'll you never know when it's going to strike but a few days in Cornwall has caused the 4mm bug to resurface. Experimenting with dcc and sound at my age! The sunny weather has made the garden railway look inviting so had a tidy of the overgrown waterside station area. Joe on the wagon was kind of r...

Love that strangely roofed side shed, it looks so real. Something you see in real life but rarely modelled. Genius!

That is a livery, they do look nice in black. I have a cricceth here that I don't use but can't bring myself to part with it.
