Me neither. Despite having 16mm stock from portable layout exhibition use it never occured to me to build a garden railway until after the house renovation was complete. That was about 9 years later.

No personal experience of Plateways kits, but 16 Mills kits are always a treat to build.

The surface finish on those parts is just incredible, I can't see any sign of fault or imperfection.

From my experience with any mix using SBR I have found that it doesn't like being applied directly to a wooden base.
