I got some inspiration by looking at the Millie at Trawbreaga Bay LR and did some work at my own. Modifications done: -Roundhouse sandboxes on front footplate. -Lump coal basket (Swift Sixteen). -Brass step kit (Swift Sixteen, modified to fit). -Brass square tube under body to straighten up the line...

Is this a first? Roundhouse will be showing their new model in Norway tomorrow at the same time that it is beeing unveiled at the Peterborugh show. Wonder why that is? We have 17 hours to speculate on that.

I was wrong, but not totally. There is a manual about garden railways. On amongst others available at Amazon. It covers many topics. One is "constructing a 16mm-gauge live steam engine from a kit". Search on Amazon website: Garden Railway Manual.

I have just ordered a pair of Roundhouse style scale couplings from Swift Sixteen to put on one of my engines. They looks nice, but I have yet to try their practicality. I guess their mostly for show.

Accucraft standard chopper couplings work well, but are a bit out of scale.
