Very interesting Paul, I still can't wait to see her assembled.

I have just picked up a Roundhouse Darj so it won't be long before I have it stripped and get on with the mods I have in mind. I'm still torn regarding livery but will have to make up my mind soon!

Cheers

Ha, well I am quite keen on Maybachs!!!! especially MD650's, I also work out in the States on the last Krauss maffei ML4000 with twin MD870's.
I remember you in the late 80's when I started working on the Westerns at Bridgenorth.

Trouble is I like my models to look real, I have never liked the super clean and shiny look of things, often how they look in preservation.

It is one of the things that draws me to the Darj, the general condition of the loco's :D

Thanks for the replies. I have looked at your stuff quite a bit Tony, some really nice work there. I guessed the grey Darj was heading to the USA, it will be very interesting to see how it looks, I think it could be an inspired choice of livery! Keep us posted with some pictures when it's back toget...

Darjeeling B class

Hi all Looking at getting a Darj as my next project and giving it the works, details, repaint and weathering. Anybody got any nice shots of one on your line? Not sure which way to go with it yet, blue is nice but then so is the green with original lower coal bunker and old style lamps. I see Matt Ac...

7/8th Hunslet

Hi all. I think the problem is that ours is a very unusual scale in the model railway world, in that we merge and mix our stuff and want things to run on two different gauge's of track. I'm sure that if anyone produced a readily available quality R-T-R Hunslet in true 16mm at a good price then peopl...
