It all depends how the battery's are connected to the receiver, really you need and isolating switch between them and it if the switch is after the receiver or even on it the receiver could still be live and a current could still be flowing, if you check this and let me know i can help further. Hope...

Any normal RC kit will do, all you need is a receiver, transmitter (these need to be a pair), An electronic speed controller (ESC, check this has reverse as not all ones designed for cars do) and a battery (lipos are the best due to there small size), Then its a simple plug and play job all that'll ...

Very nice loco, going to be a while before I can afford something like that :(. Answering your question yes it should be fine as all RX packs are around the save voltage and ampage and the charger should be able to work out any differences, you need to be careful with the cheap chargers though some ...

All the advice I can offer is James May did a very good piece on casting Aluminum in one of the episodes of his man lab, he used only basic equipment and it was all very well explained, you could try catching up with this on iplayer if your not already sorted alternatively there's a good guy on yout...

This loco is a beauty, I do some volunteer work at the Bodmin and Wenford railway where she's based it's absolutely full of character and looks lovely on the demonstration clay trains that get run! Didn't even notice she was gone though, and for that matter she may be back by now......Any idea why s...

I like the Etroniks pulse http://www.modelsport.co.uk/etronix-pul ... ucts/38404
10 model memory, screen and relatively cheap for both the unit and extra Rx's. Another lovely feature is the throttle hold switch that locks the throttle for smooth running.

The best thing to use is Peco's SM32 track in my opinion goes down well I've had no problems with mine, best place for that is Trackshak. It comes in at around 80 quid per 12 yards and £35 for a point. If that's too much of a stretch on your budget O gauge peoco track will work fine for just Mamod s...

Here is the one I use, there are cheaper ones but they remember less models and have less options.

I use a Extronik Pulse 2.4ghz stick controller which is very nice, with a useful throttle hold switch that keeps the servo/ESC going at a set percentage, very nice for smooth running. Both my R/C battery electric loco's run off 2 cell Lipo's and I've had no trouble as of yet, not only are they small...
