Prize draw, I didn't stay for the draw. Came back from the gym with a missed call telling me that I had won.

Re: 2019 16mm Show
I would honestly say that this show offered a lot of variety of traders this time; last few years have been a bit dull with the familiar faces supplemented by G-scale second hand stands... Good to see more locomotive, stock and lineside suppliers this time! Long may it continue and I hope we get a g...

Accucraft Yeo
So apparently I have a Yeo arriving next week... Is there anything different to the normal Accucraft practice with this engine? Has anyone who owns one had any interesting quirks with running them?

Pleasure to meet you yesterday Jon. The 91 and the Hunslet looked great! Might have issues with loading gauge for the 91 but might get one for display...
WHR carriages looked great! Once I've got the FR rake done I'll get a few.

EU article 11 and 13
Hi guys, Not sure how many are aware but the EU have passed the controversial article 11 and 13 into law. For those that don't know; this means that NO content can be posted unless you are the creator or have permission from the creator to do so. The UK can roll this out within 2 years. Just making ...

Generally if you have an issue it's best to email Ivan. I've only ever had to email him once (needed some spare white metal handles); just posted a bag full for free. Can't complain...

What bogies are being used on the Ashover coach? Swift Sixteen War Department in either 32mm or 45mm gauge bogies. Our own bogie project isn't ready to be used for such a purpose just yet. We'll have more information at a later date when it's appropriate regarding using our own designs. Jon Bogie p...

Re: New Accucraft Loco Dolgoch
There appear to be a few issues regarding Accucraft's announcement and accusations of underhand dealings that are probably best not discussed here. Yes, we had quite a debate on this on Facebook at the time, and the mods unfortunately came down on the side of Accucraft by censuring us. When a manuf...

Re: 10 Year Challenge
The Gloucester Transport History website is hosted by a family friend who used the site as a form of advertisement. It all went for a good cause!
Unfortunately the aging (and reducing) family called a halt to the weekends and the LVLR was completely rebuilt to it's present form.

I'll bite even though it's another vain social media craze for pointless people to be worshipped for looking a certain way over 10 years! 10-year-challenge_wallet_IT_1547711452110-01.jpeg Slightly related to this; my last new engine (Silver Lady) was bought in 2008... IP are good, we've used them for years and respond well to any form of painting. They can warp so be careful, serious warping will be sorted out by Ivan if you give him a call. If you want to finish stock to your liking they provide a good sheet to customise. Really, only Swift Sixteen, Brandbright ...

Another potential inherent drawback is that water and fuel consumption reduces adhesion ... Ah yes, the "fun" of the second trip on an NGG16 on a wet day from Caernarfon up the hill to Dinas on the Welsh Highland is something I won't forget. The front water tank would be filled to the bri...

Thanks guys, I'll probably get some small single beam units for the Garratt. The Darjeeling locomotives used similar set-ups during the 1920's.
