Re: Time to build a railway...but where?
A bit of a shameless plug Peter but given your new and enhanced industrial direction; have you looked at some of the bits I make at Harecroft?

Re: Time to build a railway...but where?
Just as an aside to the shell topic; Harecroft (www.harecroft.co.uk) and SLR Models (https://slrmodels.co.uk/) both sell 15 inch Howitzer shells and the smaller, more common, 9.2 inch shells.

Re: Personalised Wagons
Thanks Mark! Hope you enjoy the wagons! And yes, I am more than happy to produce them with lettering for your railway at no extra cost. I always have a stock of the "Birkhill Clay Mine" ones and obviously I now have "CHLR" on file.

I have a Colin Edmondson designed one for 9 1/2" gauge. I'll try and find a photo of my Lister loco on it.

Those look stunning Andrew! Now we have our own laser cutter running (I think I first mentioned it when we got it over a year ago so it shows how long we have taken with it), I will certainly be keen to have a go at cutting one. I am currently experimenting with engraving settings, seeing if I can d...

Loving the station area and your very fast progress! For what we have built so far of our line, we have used a similar method to you with the filcris but instead of filcris slabs, we have used heavy timber, largely because of apples falling in the summer. Off topic to the railway itself, but I notic...
