I'm smitten...
This came the other day, whilst I was in the shower.... ./myff/1519581/100_5333.JPG As it's snowing now, I've but a container outside to gather some fresh snow which I'll be filtering once it's thawed. I know a lot of people have plenty of these engines, this is my first and I'm genuinely in love :)...

I'm sorry to hear about your father locos and I hope they can apprehend the undividuals who have cause great distress. Though I personally would like to shoot anybody who wants to steal my beloved engine I feel the idea of owning a gun somewhat academic as for the foreseeable future it won't happen....

Thanks for the advice guys Unfortunately the bottle doesn't make any statement about the conductivity or dissolved solids at all. But have looked online and it's distilled water, distilled through boiling. My partner's mum has a dehumidifier so I might invest in one in the near future but she's offe...

Distilled Water
A specific and contentious subject but one which is most important. I.bought this today in preparation for my steam loco to arrive. Its from the Chemist which is where i was told you can get distilled water from but it only says sterile water. Would this be okay to use in my loco or would it not be ...

The G&SLR's first locomotive
In all honest, that's a bit of a lie as I have yet to have any locomotive built, but I'm working on one. For a more ranty and up to date blog, please visit http://sylviantennantmodelling.wordpress.com/ The basic idea is one of those Toby Tram rip offs you always see and I'll be using an IP engineeri...

Roundhouse buffer beams
Does anyone know if Roundhouse are able to supply alternative buffer beams? To be more specific, I've ordered a Lady Anne from roundhouse but I would like to add some of the Billy buffer beams to her instead. I already have the overlays for billy but as you can appreciate the buffer beams between La...

Okay, I have chosen! But I haven't paid for it yet... which still sorta puts me in limbo! But I'm 99% there now and well it was genuinely difficult as seeing Lady Annes and Katies in the flesh was a sight to behold. Anyway, I've decided upon a Lady Anne, and I've decided (to much controversy) to go ...

Could you expand on there TommyDodd? I would be quite interested to hear more about that. Anyway. After a deep think, I think I might see how I feel on the day. Though green and both have their advantages. (and in terms of taste their disadvantages). However... Putting Katie to one side, I've also b...

Ohhhh don't throw another colour into the bargin. It is nice and the image that inspired me to look at a Katie had it in a nice maroon colour. I think though for me, I like the unusal look of the tan, the green of my childhood and the black just goes with everything I have! Actually Neil if I go wit...
