They look alright, I'm liking this whole laser cut wood thing. In all honesty, I'm more of a Bauhaus and Japan person than a pure David Sylvian fan. That's a shame, so far the only really problem I've had was the lines which tell you were the sole bar should go was a little too close together so the...

Sam: Thanks man, I only just found out swift sixteen do cowcatchers. so unfortunately not for this model. I while back I bought two Brandbright brass cowcatchers, they'll need some new holes drilling, I believe, to fit the buffer beams on "Jemima" as Roundhouse kindly fitted the type norma...

So far I've added floor planking and some scrap bits of wood to hold the battery box in place and I've made a start on the body.

G&DR Rolling Stock

Well, I've made a start. These are basically some IPE kits I bought at Elsecar last year. As they're pretty basic I have began adding some detail along the sole bars and bodies to add a tad bit of depth and character to them. ./myff/1529580/100_5414.JPG ./myff/1529581/100_5417.JPG I've just spent mo...

Hi chaps, I've still yet to steam her. Weather isn't really playing ball but I've been busy working on things for her top pull. Anyway, I've been working on an eventual idea of what I'd like her to look like eventually once I've got the bottle to have a go and run her in. ./myff/1529577/Lady+Anne++b...

Oh most defiantly, it was the first thing I was thinking of to be honest. Two reasons, first reason, the cranks look so cool running around and many of these trams had their skirts, access panels removed later in life. Secondly, I need access to the on/off reverse switches which are a tad fiddly but...

So I've made the cow catchers... little buggers they were! In fact I've almost finished the chassis, really just the floorboards to make. ./myff/1524527/100_5351.JPG ./myff/1524528/100_5355.JPG ./myff/1524529/100_5382.JPG ./myff/1524530/100_5397.JPG Then, god knows! Sorry Tom Tom Go, it's for the radio control of my steam loco

Cheers guys, that's really quite informative, and was stated a lot better than any of the radio control websites I surfed through last night.

Rechargeable batteries

Just as the water issues dissipates with the arrival of my girlfriend with a few liters of dehumidified water. Another issues decides to leave me a bemused idiot. I while back I bought some Ni-Zn 1.6a rechargeable batteries. Upon reading the radio controller manual it say they require 1.5a batteries...

Hi there

Thanks :) Still have yet to tun her at the moment.

Yeah, they changed the pattern either last year or the year before to matt black. But it adds a nice different between the platework and the smokebox and cab roof.

Yeah I'm keeping a close eye on situations like that as well at the plastic gears too.

So far I have managed to put the skirting on today. Looking at ways I can make a pair of cow catchers.

Cheers for the update chap Good news, it's bl**dy freezing here in the UK... and that means...NOW STORM! After plodding around the garden picking up a box which kept flying away and not doing it's job of storing the snow... I managed to finally get two boxes full. Once it's thawed I'll be filtering ...

;) aye! Well partially thanks to you, I made my choice. I absolutely love what you've done to "Steam Clare". Also, well ahead of you there mate, I got some bits in preparation from Elsecar when I bought her. Once she's run in and I'm used to her, a little braver, I'll be making some slight...

So far, I've painted her up and after a slight issue after realising 3 in 1 oil wasn't the best to use (thank you Enginehouse). I'm back in the game. ./myff/1519583/100_5338.JPG Last night, I made a start on the lower body: the buffer beams, footplate and side skirts. ./myff/1519584/100_5340.JPG and...
