Cheers chaps! So I'll continue to prime my wagons. Just I've got a brake van to build next and unlike the other wagons the axles boxes are apart of the chassis plus I want to give it an interior (plus removable roof!) Anyway, I've managed to get the wagons all painted up, and weathered using some ta...

Thanks guys, I feel a little less forgiving on it than you chaps. I've gotten them almost finished, just a dabble of weathering on the van and a tarpaulin hood for the open wagons! Just out of curiosity. I primed these wagons with some terrible Wilkos stuff... but out of curiosity here. Who primes t...

So far the wagons are in a paint-able position. Instead of using the scarily stuff plastic roof, I decided to go the full monty and create a roof using mahogany strips and some fabric linen I had lying around. ./myff/1539471/100_5741.JPG ./myff/1539472/100_5746.JPG finally some messy first coat... y...

Thanks man So have you managed to finally get a kit ordered? is it the whole thing or you getting it section by section? I was tempted to go for a kit but, at this moment in time, real steam is a totally new concept to me so maybe the next engine could be a kit... I dunno just yet. Still looking at ...

Cheers man :) The solebar detail brings out models. The basic kits are very nice and will build up quickly but it's worth investing some time and patience to make a really nice model. Let me know how you're running comes along today mate, yeah I've seen him do it, seems to work nicely though if I wa...

I've just done some googling and it looks like some mineral deposits. I thought Billingham (where I am) had soft water at one point... bit daft of me to think that really. There was a fair bit of spitting and moaning from her but she'll clam down soon enough. What got me the most was the sudden pop ...

Thank you for the replies chaps. I don't mind these cheeky photos, they certainly worth be cheeky about. ;) I ran my loco for the first time today and everything went pretty smoothly apart from panicking about whether I'm doing this or that, right or wrong! ./myff/1535024/100_5719.JPG ./myff/1535040...

Cheers for the advice chaps. I've decided to stick to my 4mm teachings and leave the wheels off until I've painted them. But I have made some progress. ./myff/1535016/100_5420.JPG ./myff/1535017/100_5427.JPG ./myff/1535018/482684_558855830815457_2130033086_n.jpg Tonight alone I managed to add roof p...

Sorry to be a pain in the rectum here chaps. Okay, right, I've ran my Lady Anne today, first time and everything and was greatly impressed. I had used some water given to me by my girlfriend who had, in turn, gathered it from her dehumidifier. Running posed no problems and was great fun but afterwar...

I knew this would happen, anyone looking for Toby the Tram?
After a brief conversation, which I was privy to on this forum. It would seem that IP Engineering are reintroducing limited numbers of their Tram locomotive. But be quick.
