Re: Cheapo diesel sound card

Just to update on this, from my POV. I've been in discussions with Andy because I had to get him to reprogram it before when I couldn't, and thought he might have some insight on what I've been doing wrong. It has been more and more unexpected things and not accepting inputs. Eventually we went rig...

Re: British businesses who won't sell to Canada

This is what I want, the item in the photo isn't the size I want, it would have 54 printed on the belt and not 42... I know there is £3.33 postage on these but cheap enough at 34p each https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32814325775.html Thanks for that Steve. :thumbright: They are not wide enough unfo...

Re: British businesses who won't sell to Canada

Yet again while looking at a small-scale manufacturer's website, I saw a note saying "at the present time, we can not sell kits to Canada, the U.S.A., or countries in the E.U." What in particular are you looking at buying? There is a chance that someone in the UK might buy whatever it is ...

Re: Cheapo diesel sound card

Can you borrow a prog 4 to programme it with, or borrow a different TX, like a TX20? I have a Prog4 but it no longer works with the serial cables/Coolterm.. it's all obsolete. Nobody I know within half a days journey to borrow from ( I think you are about the nearest! ) unfortunately and it'...

Re: Cheapo diesel sound card

You should be able to work out the version you have, from the numbers written on the chip. Can't leave it alone, despite what I said yesterday - frustration speaking! Yesterday evening I managed to find the little leaflet that came with it originally and that says it is version 5.20. I've been thro...

Re: Cheapo diesel sound card

Well it works on a standard RX setup, sorry about the out of focus video  Next thing is getting a servo output on a Micron RX603. Well, I need to talk to you about a soundcard, so I can give you instructions on how to configure a spare 'P' output to be a servo, as well.. 8) Phil.P Erm, yup, t...

Re: Photos Removal

BTW, I am not sure if all your images and videos are stored online as I don't use Apple anything's so wouldn't have a clue, but you should ensure you have a backup of all those, be it on an extra hard disk or backed up online, or both. This is from someone that lost all their photos when two hard dr...

Re: Photos Removal

This is kind of an Off Topic. I would like to know if I removed my photos off my MacBook, (I have over 12000 photos and 500 videos) would removing them also remove them off the forum. My MacBook is really old now, Vintage apparently, :lol :lol and is getting slow because they are taking up a lot of...

Re: Cheapo diesel sound card

OK, chaps I need some advice, or even just thoughts! I have a Deltang Rx41d-x-v5 lead-out on P2 passed through MA002b, configured as servo on ch4, sitting around doing nothing. I originally got it for the Austo-Daimler but didn't use it so it's currently working fine at controlling the Gmeinder cha...

Re: Using TinkerCAD to produce drawings for 3-D Printing

Well I bit the bullet and downloaded Fusion.....it looks so powerful and for me far too difficult to get to grips with. Has many members know I can't spend to long at my laptop anymore and if I did Anne wouldn't be best pleased, so it is Tinkercad for me I'am afraid, I know it has it's limitations ...

Re: Downloading Fusion 360

Well, I've managed to download and install Fusion. I've had a quick look at it and tried to draw something without referring to the video or online guides, but not got very far (unlike Tinkercad which is fairly intuitive in the early stages). I'm willing to give it a good try. Hopefully, it'll star...

I do hope you always disconnect the power before making your rapaies! Have you seen what happens if you don't!  No, nor have I

I do however agree with the motto of "Keep away from children!", good move

Re: Using TinkerCAD to produce drawings for 3-D Printing

The only down side to locking something in TinkerCad is that not only can't you resize it (the way I would expect), but you also can't move it without unlocking it, unless as you say you make it a favorite and lock the scaling. I use the favorite and lock the scaling for motors and gears etc as thei...

Re: Loco wheels (and other issues) 7/8th scale

Since my original post I have discovered that the wheels 'may' be Sierra Valley items as they certainly look like them plus they have, what appear to be, the same plastic centres. Wether that has any bearing on the choice of axle size in this case is unclear as that specified now is entirely differ...

Hi Bob and welcome to the forum. I don't think you are alone in the stack of 16mm magazines and the like kicking around. Seems such a waste doesn't it  Maybe someone on here might like them, who knows?
