Intention is to supply a 'kit' of receiver + soundcard, ready to go (as best I can).

One of a couple of 'kits to do stuff' I am hoping to make available...

But don't hold your breath!

Re: Hunslet " Britomart"

Thanks Steve. I've seen that pic but never looked through to the back ! ...which begs the question... Why??! My only guess would be to let smoke / steam / heat out on colder days where you don't want the port holes open, but it is just a random guess. Not sure why you would do that on an ...

I assume YouTube for video? - Any 'gotchas', cost-implications, to this?

No gotchas with YouTube, free as you have a Google account, easiest way of doing video's IMHO.

I will leave the rest to others.

Member to member sales at Stoneleigh

Does anyone know how the member to meber sales work at the national 16mm show?

Do you have to book them in?
Is there a limit?
Does the show take anything from the sale?

Anything else I need to know?

Just so people know, the guidelines for selling on the forum have been updated to include, photos, price and a rough location. This is the information people need to make an informed decision.

Thanks for your replies guys. I wasn't having ago at anyone in the thread and like I said I did find it interesting reading, It's OK Rod, I don't think anyone thought you was "having a go" at anyone. Electrics can be baffling that is for sure, electronics even more so, even for me. I was ...

Re: Cheapo diesel sound card

On reading this thread I am glad it's all worked out Philip, yet for me and I presume most of use who are not that well informed with electricity stuff, buying a 'Cheapo Sound Card' isn't something that would be worth it for use, possibly because we would end up blowing stuff up with all those resi...

Re: Cabbed Hunslet

Not much on this for a while, mojo isn't all that high at the moment. I have not rivited it, added detail, nor weathered it, not even added buffers, but it is as it is and makes a nice base for a loco. Other than adding buffers, that's probably as far as I will go on this for now. Sorry it isn't to ...

Re: Cheapo diesel sound card

PS. It's probably advisable to protect the link from P3 to the soundcard with a 1k resistor, or maybe even a 4.7k resistor if you're powering the soundcard with 7.4v Rik PS - Now corrected the label for the switch and added the 1k resistor to the wiring diagram (see above) I am no electrician nor t...

Re: Cheapo diesel sound card

That's pretty much the wiring I used for mine, but without the buck convertor, the sound card I bought can handle 2 x li-ion batteries (8.4v) with no issue so just run them direct from the power input of the RX.
