Re: Welshpool No14/Seirra Leone No85 Problems

Do you get the same symptoms when the Loco is cold i.e. Test the remote control setup longer than 3 to 4 minutes without steaming up. you should be to hear the servo motors working. Well Dave I fully charged up both controller and loco batteries this morning and left them both on for one hour and t...

Re: Welshpool No14/Seirra Leone No85 Problems

Hi Dave, Many thanks for your interest. In answer to the first question - I don't know as I haven't left the power to either on when the loco is cold but I will try it when I am out in the workshop tomorrow to see what happens and let you know. To the second question the answer is yes the servo is s...

Many thanks to John at Trackshack for his help and prompt service. However now everything seems to be running okay I am having t...

Welshpool and Llanfair Light Railway (in miniature) Ltd.

It was great having Keith S. from Canada round last month. I wouldn't normal play trains in sub-zero temperatures in January but it was great fun and as you can see the steam/smoke effects were brilliant especially when the train passed under bridges. For those who haven't seen it already here is th...

More builddings!

A few more Whelan buildings. I know the pagoda may not suit every ones garden railway but it has added some colour and a point of interest. The village hall was actually a pub - The New Inn but it make quite a passable village hall I think. I haven't painted the bridge. I am just waiting for the wea...

Concrete buildings at good prices

I discovered, with a bit of detective work, that many of the 17 concrete buildings I have already were made by a company called Whelan’s in Sheerness on the Isle of Sheppey in Kent. Last Saturday I went, via the bullet train from St Pancras and Sittingbourne, to Sheerness to see if I could find them...

Re: W&L Loco & Carriage Shed

Hi Narrow Minded, I was really interested to read your enquiry about the Welshpool loco and carriage sheds. I have just finished laying the track in Welshpool yard and will have to start work on the buildings there soon. I was wondering if you are building replicas also and if so what you were going...
