Well, if there was enough space left over after the complex 16mm network Of The Gods, I wouldn't mind a racing circuit of G3/2.5" to interchange with the LJRA. Then how about a scale mile or three of 45mm in 15mm:1' scale with a Pennsylvania setting and nice new accucraft EBT Baldwins lettered...

If we had more space, I'm sure we'd do a 5" or 7".

After much scribbling, inspired by the full name of the County Donegal and the fact that my first railway was built in my Grandparents' garden I came up with LRJA, the Lindsey Railways Joint Administration. It's a bit of a mouthful, and looks a bit crowded  squeezed onto a loco numberplate, but it ...

Apparently I made an error. We used quick-set cement, not concrete ;)

Jigstone Mix Help

Hi Everyone, I made my first attempt at the jigstone molds yesterday in preparation for making a bus shelter. We used two scoops (a scoop saved from an old container of Vanish) of sand and two scoops of quick-set concrete, with enough water to make it a smooth mixture. My jigstones came out crumbly,...

That's adorable! Do you have Power Wheels in the UK? When I was a kid, all the girls wanted the pink Barbie Jeep Power Wheels, but yours is so much better!

Erm, what does scribe mean? Like score I think for your native tongue.. ;) :P Yeah, yeah. Make fun of my poor improper English education. I'm learning! I've started putting the u back in words that American English took it out of, and I spell "grey" the proper way! :P But yes, I do unders...

Garden Railway at EPCOT

My friend sent this to me because it made her think of me and TommyDodd. For those of you who haven't been to EPCOT, in their Germany section, they have a garden railway set up next to the meet the character spot to entertain the children waiting for Snow White (and Dopey!) They've apparently mounte...

I suggested that to TommyDodd, but I think he thinks it's too much work or defeats the purpose of using the jigstones...

Abbey Ruins? Or, Ruins in general

After visiting a few of the random Abbey ruins in our area (literally. driving down a road and "hey, what's that big stone wall up ahead?"), I decided I'd like to have some ruins of our own. But how to go about it? We have brick jig-stones, but not the stone ones and it'd be silly to inves...

Re: It's nearly time for The List

------------------------EDITED ADDENDUM-------------------------------- Well, over the summer I had talked about firing up the shiny new lathe and having a go this winter at a published design. Somehow that daydream has been translated into not one but FOUR Brazil class 0-4-2Ts to the Keith Bucklit...
