The money i spent on the chassis kit would have gone a long way to getting a budget engine, but I wouldnt get the pleasure, fulfilment and feeling of accomplishment that i am sure i will get from building the lady anne. Also, I still have a lot to learn about the workings of our beloved 16mm locos, ...

I'll make sure I take loads of photos along the way for you all to see. Probably wont be very interesting,...

Bungle, Are you still after a Lady Anne kit, because if you haven't already seen it there is a darn cheap one in the 16mm Assoc. Mag. Oh burger! I just rang and ordered the chassis kit! Oh well, never mind! I'm not currently a member of the Assoc (re-signing up this year!) But I saw the new SMT had...

i agree, the lining is good, but i'm not sure about the blue. Green or maroon would work better IMHO. Might paint and line my mamod in maroon one of these days! See how well i do with Lady Anne's paint work first!

About 4 years ago I managed to pick up a 45mm Cheddar Iver off eBay fairly reasonably priced. When it arrived it was practically mint. Still stiff as it hadn't even steamed enough to run it in! However, due to the design, rebuilding to 32mm meant a heck of a lot of work, including changing it from i...

So laalratty, any progress yet beyond drawings? Any chance of seeing 'Kathryns snacks', sorry, i mean your Ashbury inspired buffet car yet? or perhaps a shot of your drawings? How long do you think it'll take to build. I started scratch building a carriage 4 and a half years ago. Still unfinished! A...
