That runs well, I would suggest that the driver could do with a rear view when you come to Detailing it. Ask and you shall receive! The windows are now cut, just need a bit of rubbing down now :) http://i602.photobucket.com/albums/tt102/ste234/IMAG0113.jpg http://i602.photobucket.com/albums/tt102/s...

Thanks for the comments guys, it does run well, better than I had expected :) Bryan, I will be adding rear windows, I'm just trying to devise a way of keeping them in line with the front ones! I'm looking for a way to keep the body on the baseplate, I'm thinking some magnetic strips strategically pl...

Ran the loco today using the a 40mhz system, it ran perfectly fine, the cruise control on the speed controller is a big help, just turn the transmitter off, and the loco carries on, saves holding the stick all the time :) It's so easy to set up aswell, just push the little button on the ESC within 2...

The loco had it's first run under radio control today, unfortunatley it wasn't the 2.4ghz set I've ordered, this hasn't arrived yet, so I used a 40mhz set instead, and to be honest, I've been pretty impressed with it's running :D The traction has improved because of the weight of the battery and rad...

Lovely repaint you have done there Keith, is the body plastic or brass, the finish looks great, if I can make my loco half as impressive as that I will be happy!
Cheers,
Ste :)

I've just had a thought, I'm not sure if I've got the scale height of the cab right, I said 5ft 6, but I'm not sure if I've worked it out right, so it would be 16 divided by 9.2 gives 1.7, now i presume this is metres so this works out (according to my friend Google) at roughly 5ft 6, is this correc...

Cab Height

Hi guys, I was looking at my loco cab which I have been scratchbuilding, and I have sort of done it without thinking about scale etc, just what looks right   However, the height of my cab is about 9.2/3 centimetres, which is about 5'6" I think, so I was wondering if this is probably a bit t...

After a brief trip to meet Brian (AKA MDLR) to collect some track, a few lengths were laid in the garden, some trucks rolled down it a few times and it was then put away  However a few pieces had some of the sleepers replaced, I haven't got any photos of these but they look almost new. Anyway, ...

And now the glue has dried, well, to a certain extent anyway... The roof has been attatched, a hole cut in the bonnet for the front grill/vent thingy and the front and rear of the cab added. It's starting to look like a loco now :D http://i602.photobucket.com/albums/tt102/ste234/IMAG0087.jpg http://...

Work on the body has been carried out today, using some plasticard I had lying around. It's not really based on anything in particular, just what my imagination came up with :D There is some wobbly lines, but these are being tidied up a bit. http://i602.photobucket.com/albums/tt102/ste234/IMAG0083.j...
