Some Access panels and louvres were knocked up today for both sides, each is only held to the body with BlueTac at the moment. I've also added some little hinges and handles, just for good measure ;) The left side; http://i602.photobucket.com/albums/tt102/ste234/IMAG0164.jpg The right side, the eagl...

I.P. Engineering Freelance Coaches

Hi all, I was just wondering if anyone has any experience of building these, and how straight forward they are? I'm looking at getting either a 2 or 3 compartment coach and a gaurds coach, but I'm unsure if my little 0-4-0 will pull the 3comp ones, anyone have a rough idea how heavy they are? Cheers...

The boiler looks a bit plasticy on the NRM's photo's, she still looks great though!

Although I still prefer apple green, even on Tornado

I almost cringe at the prospect of 240v running open next to a garden railway, at least you will know when you have touched it

I'd agree that the new bonnet top does work to break up the "boxy" look.  :D   How about some thin plasticard access doors & wire handles for the sides? ;) Thanks for the comments :) I've got some louvres also from Cambrian but these aren't massive so I will be making some little acce...

Some basic detailing has been scrambled together for the model recently, A mock Control panel has been made and two pressure gauges, throttles etc from Cambrian Models have been used. Also Horns, and a brake stand from Cambrian models have been assembled, I have also bought some handrail knobs and t...

Ah good, Have a look at this for the instructions for the Electronic Speed controller I linked to earlier:
http://www.mtroniks.net/resources/MICROVIPERR_2.pdf

The far right column doesn't apply to this model though, it has cruise control built in instead

Oh, just realised, you only need an Electronic speed controller if you have a motor, which I just assumed you do
If you are using steam/gas/meths whatever you don't need one, but I think you need servos then :)

Where did you order it from? Ordered from Howes, still haven't heard anything from them, might drop them an email... As for the ESC I'm using a M'troniks Loco, it works well actually, and is only about £25. Oh, and yes you need to buy a separate esc! Literally all you get in the box is a receiver a...

I've ordered one, I thought it would have arrived by now (ordered 2 weeks ago, phone call to say it was delayed and heard no more) so unfortunately I can't really help, I have heard though it is very simple to set up, just push a button on the transmitter and receiver and they are bound together. Ap...
