Yesterday saw one of the coaches started, they are fairly simple to do, I just used some wood glue and a large box of charcoal to hold everything down while it dried off  ;) For some strange reason Photobucket isn't letting me make the pictures larger... Il'l try again tomorrow, but for now, so...

It's a shame if they have been discontinued, if they were cheap enough I was looking into possibly getting one, they look like they can take a decent rake in Andy's video!

Have a look at CA1, CA3 and CA4 ;)
Thanks for that, unfortunately they don't do 16:1 in metal only plastic
Still, the plastic ones are cheaper than I.P.'s!

Yep, mine are plastic, glad to know it's not just me with the problem. As you say they are fairly cheap, but considering I've hardly ran the loco to be honest :S I don't think the whole assembly is any good, I have had to strengthen the gearbox itself with extra plastic! The whitemetal ones seem lik...

I.P. Engineering gear sets

Hi everyone, I have recently been having problems with my plastic gears that I.P. use on their chassis kits. Just today I have found one of the gear teeth to be worn down, enough that in slow speeds it stalls and won't move the loco. I am curious if anyone else has had these problems or if there is ...

Thanks again for the comments everyone, much appreciated :D Tom, the white surrounds will eventually be toned down with a metal-ish colour. And yes, I am fairly proud of it, I will be even more so after Sunday if she runs okay! Also got the new radio System the other day (Planet T5) and she has been...

After a few more coats of cow pat green (i'll stop now...) the panels were again added, edging around the windows and grill in place and the grills mesh put back. Also a few pieces have had a coat of Humbrol Metal Cote. The pictures aren't the best but if I used the flash the green looks too l...

Now in Green!

And the loco is now in "BR Loco green", which funnily enough bears a similar resemblance to GWR Cow Pat Green... Without Flash; http://i602.photobucket.com/albums/tt102/ste234/IMAG0172.jpg With Flash; http://i602.photobucket.com/albums/tt102/ste234/IMAG0171.jpg http://i602.photobucket.com/...

No, there's a real internal combustion engine in there.

Any idea if they are available seperatley or know who makes them? I don't fancy the price of a Criccieth Castle just for the sound unit

And now in a coat of primer, awaiting a light rub-down to bring up any bad areas. As my Plasti-card cutting skills leave nothing do be desired a bit of filler is going to be needed in places, especially on the new bonnet top to hide the join  And as you can see an access panel has been cut in t...
