Re: Not sure why motor keeps cutting out.
Thanks Steves - I share your sceptism on that motor as it looks exactly the same as the one that is fitted. I will give the 12-24v motor a go and if not satisfied with it will give it a try.

Re: Not sure why motor keeps cutting out.
Thanks for the suggestions Drewzero & Steves. I've googled 280 size motors and the existing motor size is exacxtly that - its a tight fit so no other size would do. I can only find a higher voltage motor at 12 -24 volts so excuse my ignorance on electrical matters but I assume that would work wi...

Re: Not sure why motor keeps cutting out.
Hi - thanks for your replies. Not sure I fully understand. The batteries I use are PP3 9v 1300mAh rechargeable Li-ion. Re: Regner Vincent water refill frequency
Thanks Simon and Chris most helpful. I like to sit back and watch trains go around (easily pleased!) so the occasional top up / adjustment is not too much hassle. Apparently the latest Vincent has a 6mm water gauge glass so that may make them a bit more of a reliable. Any way going to order one.

Regner Vincent water refill frequency
Hi - I am seriously considering getting a Regner Vincent and have heard the water gauge should not be trusted and a sharp eye must be kept on the water level - that it should be topped up frequently and will require a number of water top ups just on one gas tank full - something in the order of a wa...
