Re: Roundhouse Lady Anne Regner whistle fitting

She passed inspection by the owner today after a run around the RWLR so the workshop is ready for new work:

The newly painted boiler wrapper getting it's first outing (the two tone colour scheme may not be everyone's taste I suspect but I like it).

Re: eBay madness

Amazing how some paint makes it cost significantly more than a new one!

Re: Shannon creek timber mill tramway

Looks good to me.

Have you used oil paints on the rolling stock for weathering or a wash of some type?

Re: Tom's station building

I have used large domed rivets for door knobs, they can be chemically blackened!

Re: A Garage For FWLR

If you do want to fit one Rod get one that is for model building use as if you fit one that is intended for a locomotive it will pump out too much smoke and look like the wood burner is being used to burn illegal documents!

I'll bite even though it's another vain social media craze for pointless people to be worshipped for looking a certain way over 10 years!

Cleaning after using super glue

It's time for another of Tom`s idiot questions to problems I seem to only experience! Everytime I use super glue that comes in a plastic bottle with a nozzle the end of the nozzle always becomes blocked with dried glue. This happens after I put it away and come to use it again. The only way I can pr...

Re: A Garage For FWLR

A smoke generator in the chimney for the wood burner would be very atmospheric blowing into the cold air with those lights on.

Re: Garden Rail Magazine

I sometimes regret selling that loco to you Rik, Regners are a joy to watch and easy to operate and modify.

It would be nice to see it puff along on your line in a purposeful running session like you run your electric fleet.

Re: Tom's station building

My wife's away this weekend, so the kitchen table's covered in tools, materials and half-finished models, and the air stinks of glue - it's a glimpse of the chaos I'd live in if I wasn't married. I would be the same! The station looks great and I am very grateful for you taking all this time to mak...
