Roundhouse George in action

Hi folks Yesterday I visited a friend and on the spur of the moment we decided to make a video of the Roundouse George that I sold him. I had fitted a Slomo and Chuffer and he has fitted Micron R/C and a DJB whistle. George ran like a dream and we got plenty of footage within one steaming. Here is t...

Even more double heading in Summerlands

Hi Folks
Another little video, though as the Regner burner was so loud, I had to mute most of the sound and add some gentle music. So if you can't sleep..... :D

Slightly more Tom :D Many derailments and one where the wheels literally came off. Then there was the helicopter circling overhead........!

Re: Double Heading at Summerlands

Thanks Greg - and we are very luck with a wonderful garden! The camera angles are really what my videoing is about. I use a bridge camera on a bean bag for 90% of shots and where elevation is needed, such as in the station shots, I use a paint tin to stand the bean bag on :D In all of these shots th...

Re: Double Heading at Summerlands

Thanks for the kind words guys! I am very lucky that nature does all the hard work on the railway - all the primroses are self seeded. It was really difficult to get both locos working hard Andrew as the controls are quite different. The Iver was so sensitive as I needed the steam valve wide open, a...

Roundhouse Darjeeling Garratt at the Compton Valence Light Railway

Hi folks
Yesterday, thanks to Kris and Sam Dutson, I managed to make a little film of this amazing loco on their relatively new railway. The DJB resonator whistle sounds just right - though we didn't always have enough steam pressure for full voice.

Re: Roundhouse Jack at the Overcombe Light Railway

Thanks Tom - so here, just to practice, is a film of Jack at the OLR that I made in 2010. I am afraid the quality is poor and it was before I learned to use a bean bag for the camera. If you do take a look you will see that the railway 9and the loco) has changed a lot! Cheers Chris https://youtu.be/...
