Hello! I don't think you'll have any trouble in terms of radius as long as, as you say, you keep it simple - have a look at this, 15" radius Faller e Train track, I think: https://youtu.be/lRFdXeEost8 I believe others have used tinplate track - how successfully probably depends on wheel profil...

Of course, the space I have available is just under 4ft at one end, around 4 1/2ft at the other, by around 7ft long. Like a very slight L shape Is it me or does that mean you could easily fit R1 Peco on that size? Peco R1 set track is 371mm radius, less than 30 inches, just. Maybe I am just missing...
