Re: The Grand View Light Railway expands

Thank you!
Best part of this is creating a working operations track plan and figuring out an engine and freight car roster to fit the operations plan.

They chose 2 foot as being easi...

How do you coal fire the engine with a bunker blocking the firebox door?

You could also use Peco flex track, bent down to 20 inch radius to fit.

Re: Smokey Sophie - A Roundhouse/Riverdale Amy coal fire build

Hmmm... Jason Kovacs from Train Department uses an independent boiler maker for his coal conversions.
I wonder if they would be interested in making and marketing 2 flue coal boilers to fit Roundhouse chassis?

Re: The Roster Grows

I've recently got the exact same peckett you have. It's an excellent steamer & it'll happily run at a slowish speed & it'll restart its self if it looses a bit of steam pressure. I absolutely love mine it's one of my favourite locos. It has a surprisingly good haulage capacity too. That is ...

The larger one took 6 evenings to build after supper watching Netflix, the smaller one took 4 evenings as the build sequence was figured out on the first car.

The larger one is Bi-directional and doesn't need turning, the Brakeman just changes seats and changes ends of the rear marker lante...
