Re: Annual loco sales?
I'm happy to say the laser is operational now. The technician was not able to come last week of December and I was not available in January due to an exam at the tech college I attend. However he did turn up on February 3rd. 3 days had been set aside for installation and training. However after 1.5 ...

Re: B@&&*Y Internet
I talked daily for several months to BT call center employees in India about an internet connection that wasn't working properly. The read the same script every time and refused to send an engineer. I cancelled the subscription and we moved house. Much to my surprise two engineers arrived at the new...

Re: Happy Christmas & New Year 2018
Hope your Christmas has been better than mine. I've been bed-ridden with man-flu for the last couple of days.

Re: Planet Tx/Rx
I use Lemon RX receivers with my Walkera Devo 7e and 10 that are running Deviation software. Flysky is also worth looking at. I buy that from Banggood: https://www.banggood.com/search/flysky-receiver.html?sbc=1 The DSM2/DSMX, FrSky and Flysky protocols have been around for a while now and are not li...

Re: Planet Tx/Rx
You can use any servo with a Planet RX as long as you ensure the correct wiring order. There are a few very small servos that are only intended for 1S use (single lipo cell, 3.7V) but most of the micro servos we would use are 5V servos. I've been involved with the R/C hobby both as a hobbyist and pr...

Re: Happy Christmas & New Year 2018
Seasons greetings from Denmark. Snow is falling at the moment but will likely be replaced by rain soon.
I wish you all the best for 2019. 2018 was not kind to me at all but I remain positive that things will improve in 2019.

Re: Christmas holidays
No rest for the wicked. I actually have quite a lot to do in the workshop. The new fiber laser was just moved in there. Still need to move things around and finish up some insulation work. I was so busy with cutting jobs on the small CO2 laser that I didn't have time to get things done before the fi...

Re: Lubricators
I think the reason we don't see mechanical lubricators on commercially produced locos in the smaller scales is down to cost. They contain a fair amount of small parts, something that lends itself to manufacturing on a CNC swiss lathe. Unfortunately those machines have longer setup times compared to ...

Re: Is it me?
Almost forgot - it's also quite common to put apple sauce on the black pudding.
Re: Is it me?
We fry it in 1/4" thick slices. Some claim the syrup and cinnamon is to disguise the horrible taste, but I quite like it.
Re: Is it me?
We don't do mince pies in Denmark. First time I tasted one in UK I was a bit confused because I assumed it would contain mince meat :D We eat some fairly weird stuff though in the region I'm from. Kale which has been boiled in stock is then fried lightly in a pan and has cream and sugar added. We al...
Re: Is it me?
And brandy butter. And mince pies. Oh, and bread sauce. I don't get the mince pie love. Too dry for my taste. Mind you, I have only ever been served store bought ones. Just ordered a couple of Christmas puddings from an online store in Germany that sells British goods. Also a case of Scrumpy Jack.....
Re: Is it me?
I find the whole Christmas "experience" vulgar. There isn't much I like about it except for Christmas pudding.

Not even tea? I have NEVER been THAT sick. I'm afraid it might be a new strain of man-flu that has been genetically modified by coffee growers.
