Hi, I have yes, once I have the Superbarns nailed I will be looking at producing (in no order) Barns, Carnforths and Tin Cars. I have already started thinking forward to the Barns as they will need similar construction techniques to the Superbarns. The laser cutting has been done for the prototype a...

Hi all, That's a nice looking rake that Tony. Just thinking how good that would look with a WHR rake. @max, I thought you had, but no worries it was interesting to hear. I agree 32mm/45mm gauge is the way to go. I had thought about the AGM however I will be busy operating at the show. I am aiming to...

RTR Ffestiniog Superbarn/saloon Carriages in Development
Hi All, I have been developing a model of the FfWHR's Superbarns. Just a few details like the battery boxes, door handles and Vac/electrical pipes to go. The carriage shown is an accurate 16mm scale model of the carriages 121, 108 or 103. https://www.festipedia.org.uk/wiki/Carriage_108… With a few a...

One thing that was mentioned last night was that the blue servos didn't react as quickly as some of the other servos. The recommended servo was http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__16257__HobbyKing_8482_HK15178_Analog_Servo_10g_1_4kg_0_09s.html Cheaper too at £1.50 a pop. Apparently the bounce...

Point and signal control
http://modratec.com/ Modratec is one company who do interlocking frames and all the control mechanisms required for them. One of their products is wire in a tube. Just listened to a talk by Dave of Megapoints at the Huddersfield MRC. http://loolee.org/megapoints/ It was very interesting and seemed a...

Well said dweller of DVT's (ex dweller?). In our own imaginary histories of the lines, whose to say how many of a certain loco were built. Maybe there were some other locos shaped uncannily like Beddgelert that were destined for an overseas railway but unfortunetly for Hunslet of Leeds the order was...

Hi folks, I'd like to congratulate my Dad for organising what seemed to be a very successful layout this weekend. Thanks to him and 5 other builders we managed to run an impressive first outing. Many thanks also to the people who helped setup/ knockdown and also those of you who helped keep our loco...

Darjeeling c class could only be topped by a Beddgelert in my view. Both engines fit the proportions of roundhouse engines ie not too diminutive. I wonder if roundhouse would ever produce a coal fired model. I would be surprised if they did, but it would be a great surprise. Good taste injin. Correc...

My only gripe and worry is the WHR platform placement. When the welsh weather does its thing, WHR passengers will get very wet. Also worried that it will end up with a canopy like Caernafon. The signalling although complicated will be interesting. In thirty years time it will be common practice and ...
