It took me 49 years from 1963 to 2012 to survey the buildings, bridges, viaducts, signals, carriages, Van 23, 4W Van body, turntable (then at New Romney), maps, locomotive headlamps, makers plates etc. I am glad I made the effort because inevitably some of them have now gone or been altered.
