Thanks everyone!

I'll agree hard to hear buzzing when saftey valve and blower going too! :) I think by mounting the servo further back i've stopped it pushing all the time so fingers crossed. Have to say i'm loving radio control though much less running round the garden!!

Live Steam radio control

Hi I've just converted my Gauge 1 Models 4MT to radio control. At first all seemed well but it has now started breaking servos very quickly! Are there any specific servos to use on live steam that are heat resistant? I notice roundhouse have their servos very close to the boiler! I'm using 2.4Ghz se...

Its the audible warnings on the signal system. The Line is very long and you can't see the section ahead so signalling has proved quite important in order to prevent expensive collisions! It actually works pretty well especially when there are 4 or 5 trains out on track at any one time!

Gauge 1 Wickham Trolley

I wonder if anyone can help me? I was rooting around the garage the other night and found an old 4 wheel Battery electric chassis I had bought some years ago and never used. I would like to build a Wickham Trolley in 1/32 but I am struggling to find any drawings! Any ideas would be much appreciated....

It is vast! as far as i'm aware it is the largest Gauge 1 Line in Europe. It also features a fully automated Great Western lower quadrant signal system which is very helpful with up to seven trains on track at any one time! I'll try and post some more pictures

Thanks Pete.

Both the Steam Locos are Gauge one Model Company and perform very well. We are building an Aster Bulleid Kit to go with them. The Line is about 250ft long at present with a maximum grade of 1 in 100 and minimum of 10ft radius curves. Hope to have a bit more scenery soon. :D

Hi

Hi all. There are videos of the New Aster Standard 5 on youtube, very impressive performer. The 4MT Tank and Brittania Models are from the Gauge One Model Company and are both extremely powerful and fine runners. I have one of each and have just finished laying the first part of my garden line. (see...
