Re: Projects for father in law
Hi All, Latest project has taken a while. A Liverpool Overhead Railway set Its a Judith Edge OO kit in brass. Its been the most fiddly and complicated kit I've built, the parts are tiny and a real test of my soldering skills. I've vowed to never build anything in OO again! Parts for next project hav...

Re: Gauge One Rolling Stock in 1:32 scale
Wagons and coaches are good, looking forward to the GWR stuff, will there be a rake of chocolate and cream? This year I've probably done 10 times more gauge 1 projects for people ranging from painting figures to building an entire railway, It does make a change and should give me a bit of impetus to...

Re: Projects for father in law
Hi all,
A couple of telephone boxes.
These are card kits from a company called Toys we once had. They are for scalextrix which just so happens to be 1/32 scale, FIL is now on the hunt for suitable period scalextrix cars.
Regards
Richard Cooke

Re: Projects for father in law
Hi all,
Last for a while (until I get some more things to build).
Tenmille signal kit, with a distant knocked up from spares.
Hopefully I can get a bit done on my Corris No. 3 now.
Regards,
Richard Cooke

Re: Projects for father in law
Hi Grant,
It came precut in plastic, but did need a bit of sandpaper to all of the grooves.
I reckon you could sell metres of the fascia on its own!

Richard Cooke

Re: Projects for father in law
Hi all,
Thank you for all the nice comments.
Next I have been building a Brunel Models waiting shelter. It's been painted into LMS colours even though it's a GWR design. It will be varnished.
Apparently I have two more of the single sided version on the way.
Regards
Richard Cooke

It's the father in the laws. He's got plenty of room, just needs to work on his tracklaying!
Im currently on a narrowboat, contemplating if mamod curves will fit on the roof.

Re: Projects for father in law
Hi Rik, I've painted a lot of warhammer figures so it comes from that, I have a 40 odd acrylic citadel paints and washes, but you can just mix colours up. These aren't as natural as I normally do, they have a bit more contrast as they will be viewed from a distance. Wash in soap (removes release age...

Projects for father in law
Hi all, I am now on Furlough for at least the next 3 weeks. I was planning on completing the valve gear for my Corris no 3 but the FIL has a few little projects he wants done. I tried to convert him to narrow gauge, but he wanted something to remind him of the LMS around Liverpool when he was a lad....

Cheers Tony, brilliant video, theres even a few clips of my loco's.
First time visiting Llechfan (about 20 years since I was last at the Talyllyn) wonderful little line, everyone was very friendly and welcoming, will definitely be returning next year.

Richard Cooke

Re: Cutting Peco track
And needle files to tidy up, diamond coated work well.
Or you could just use a cut off wheel in a dremel.
Fishplates aren't very good, would using thermex work in 16mm?

Had a great day, lots of new shiny things. Didn't seem to be many MOTY entries though, might enter next year, almost guaranteed a win if there's only one entry!
