Re: Yr Hen Felin & Yr Orsaf Newydd

Hi Phil, Glad I'm not the only one fouling up Bole's excellent kit! If experienced modellers are having similar problems, has anyone fed this back to the supplier? The addition of the words 'top, rhs' and 'top, lhs' to the drilling jig, could remove grief and heart-ache, from both modeller and supp...

Re: GRS Hunslet loco kit with rtr chassis

Is this still available, and if so, is it the later kit which I think has a pre-formed tank?

A link to a short video:

Apparently, best enjoyed on an 8 foot screen, with the sound turned-up!

Re: Latest developments

Many cards have the ability..
Not so many supply the parts to achieve it.

You will need a Reed-switch, and magnet(s), or a hall-effect sensor.

Certainly, the MyLocoSound cards (steam obviously) have a 'chuff-trigger' input.

Re: Sept 2022 Gallery - Enter here

I am surprised that there are not more entries?
I would have thought that there would be plenty of opportunities for photos, with the good weather?

Re: Micron RC - Deltang Rx replacement MR603a

Anyone wishing to use two-wire bi-colour LEDs, connected BETWEEN Pins 1&2: You will require a firmware update (to v1.1) if you have a first-batch MR603a. I have a number of MR603a, which I will get updated with the new firmware. NOTE: This does NOT affect ordinary LEDs, connected between receiver pi...

Re: The (Windmill Hill) Welsh Highland Railway

Is it not quite difficult to get a fairly uniform finish?

Does it set/cure, over time?

How long does it last, on the wheel?

Thanks,

Re: Kerr Stuart diesel

With all these kits now using laser-cut acrylic:

Is it worth giving the faces a very fine rubbing down before assembly?
I am thinking it will 'key' the surface, for when you come to paint?

Re: Start again after a house move...

If you are going two-blocks high (rather than setting a block into the ground) then you need a better foundation. Where in the country are you, and what are your ground-conditions like? I was in Tamworth, on Staffordshire clay, and would get 3" of heave, summer to winter. Now in Nottingham (on sand)...

Re: Battery charging issues

As others have said: Any cells recovered, need to be checked. - You *can* then make these into new packs, but be aware they will never be as good as they were, and some of the cells will not probably not hold a charge for very long. Make a note of how many cells in the pack. The voltage the pack giv...

Re: Micron RC - Deltang Rx replacement MR603a

Jimmy, As stated, you should be OK. I started adding the stickers, as it gives me an idea of when the transmitter was manufactured. I am led to believe, the faulty code, was only loaded to a few months of 'production'. So it depends if DT mass-loaded modules, and how many 'we' bought from him during...
