Re: Questions: Inside Frame Skip Wagon - Operation and any drawings
Hi Phil Many thanks for the reply. I also found this drawing of a mine cart at Wikipedia that shows contact of the bucket with the edge of the wheel tread at the reinforced points when tipped. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:30-cu.ft.Minecar.jpg It just felt strange that the bucket would hit th...

Re: Questions: Inside Frame Skip Wagon - Operation and any drawings
Thank you for the reply and ideas Phil. The Fowler's definitely have stop plates. The Bagnall doesn't seem to have anything. The only thing above the the chassis looks to be the bolts for the axle boxes.
Thanks again for your thoughts

Questions: Inside Frame Skip Wagon - Operation and any drawings
Hi All Can anyone help me with these two questions on inside frame skip wagons? There is a ton of info and drawings I can find on outside frame but not inside frame. 1. Operation - Do they hit the wheels when tipped? I can see (from the interweb) that some internal framed skips and tipping mine cars...

Re: Peckforton Light Railway - Video Library
Hi Rik. Thanks for the reply and good to hear some other views, Peter. The write up you have done Rik is great. Thanks for making this available. I'm going to post some resources I've collected on cardboard construction for Garden Railways on another post so I don't hijack Rik' one All the best Andy

Re: Peckforton Light Railway - Video Library
Really glad you did this build Rik to show what it's like. I have exactly the same kit unbuilt. Is this the version with the motor/gearbox and wheels? Just so I know that is what I can expect it to perform like.

Re: Drawing of Corris 4 wheel coach
Aha. Yes, thanks for this Rik. That's the new style four wheeler. I'm looking for the late 19th century version which has balconies at either end. Really appreciate the reply and hope all is well. Kind regards.

Re: Couplings
Here is something I saved from the ngrail forum which possibly doesn't exist now? It's by the make of Portpyn. Here's some extracts of text... I hope Christopher doesn't mind me posting this...The advanced uncoupling article used hooks at both ends... I have just posted to the "Files" section the re...
