Got my second we carriage painted now to match the MK 3 loco. Looks like it’s the end of the line for these MMS carriages. I got the last maroon kit from dream steam. As It looks like they are now discontinued ? In favour of the New Mamod lighter carriage. Maybe MSS will be doing the new version now...

Yes I think I will fire it. It may be better looking, but I don't think it will run as well as the MK3. But then thats only to be expected. Hard to believe its nearly four decades between them.

That looks great. What have used to ballast the track? Looks good. I used potting grit Then strong pva glue mix, one part water to one part glue.
