Re: MSS steam loco: Which accessories ?
Thanks for all your advices. The best thing I can do is cancelling my project and keep my money for a real steam loco.

MSS steam loco: Which accessories ?
Hello, I am planning to purchase a MSS side tank locomotive. What are the essential accessories that I need with this locomotive (water filling bottle, steam oil ...)? Due to the postal restrictions between Great Britain and France I must buy my packs of solid fuel in France. Thank you very much in ...

Re: The Forever Green light railway
The former Old Pallet RR is now the FGLR: The Forever Green (very) Light Railway. And I can prove it !
Right now, I'm working hard on my first project: buying a MSS side tank loco. I'm still waiting for the green light from the authorities.

Re: The Forever Green light railway
As I'm not rich as I want , I used the others pallets to make a kind of box (sorry I don't know the right word  ) under my layout. As always, photos talk better than words. And I know I still have lot of work to do. The garden is the very private kingdom of my lovely Golden Retriever (...

Re: MSS Side Tank Performance
Great thread. I am very interested in the problems of MSS locomotives. Thank you for keeping us informed of all your progress.
Do you have a few pics of your upgraded loco ? They'll be very helpful.

The Forever Green light railway
Hello there, My brother-in-law gave a few old pallets for free. Thanks ! So I had an idea: build a very small layout (or a big pizza layout) on one of these pallets. It could be an indoor or a real garden railway but right now I don't know. I'll use Piko G scale curved track (600mm radius). The diam...

Re: MSS loco on 4' diameter curves ?
This morning I got this answer from Dream Steam: "The MSS locomotives have quite shallow flanges and can sometimes derail on LGB points, the 4’ diameter curves may also be a little too tight for the loco to manage. The minimum radius an MSS can manage easily is 3 feet 6 inches." ...

Re: MSS loco on 4' diameter curves ?
There is no solution in sight. My MSS steam project is cancelled. I also got a top priority order from SWMBO: " A steam loco in my house ? Never !"

Re: MSS loco on 4' diameter curves ?
Thanks for your help gentlemen. So I can't run this loco on my 600mm curves. It's a very bad news. What can I do ? Buying bigger curves ? It's a big amount of money.

MSS loco on 4' diameter curves ?
Hello,
Can I run a MSS side tank loco on 4' diameter curves (MSS sells 5' diameter curved track) ?
I use Piko 600mm radius curves (G scale track) on my layout.
Many thanks for all your replies.
