Re: Llewellyn Loco Works #1
Plod has a new CD/radio for the Red Room workshop at the Llewellyn Locomotive Works. A bit of Nick Cave, Mike Oldfield, John Lee Hooker and others got a spin. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53437569782_9ae24010da_c.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53438629758_a1352319f2_c.jpg https://li...

Re: Llewellyn Loco Works #1
Plod has hard wired the head light and it fitting a hard wired cab light. It was a difficult job for his cranium to cope with but he survived. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53438497201_1730de3d83_c.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53438496921_6f8120d07c_c.jpg https://live.staticflickr....

Re: Llewellyn Loco Works #1
Plod made a new grate as the other one which was to a published design has obstructions which is not ideal, for ash build up and unable to rake it out while in steam. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53429814549_647d779387_c.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53429919045_5cab548779_c.jpg Ol...

Re: The Potters Orchid Railway
MAM (POR head horticulturist) and Plod (POR navvy & general all round moaner) made the pilgrimage to Nielsen's Nursery Sat morn. This was followed by 8 hours of Plod moaning about in the garden but the last few hours he had a glass of Red in hand which may or may not entertain the neighbours? A...

Re: Llewellyn Loco Works #1
Captain Plod was most pleased. The Llewellyn Locomotive Works # 1 ran for two sessions on Saturday the 4th November 2023.The steam raising fan problem sorted. (Slow for the Kero burn for 2 mins and then faster for the Charcoal cook up) First run was 1 hour 15 mins, light engine and also with a smal...

Re: The Potters Orchid Railway
It was great to finally meet you and MAM in person. A great weekend and I'm very much looking forward to the next one. Thanks again. As an aside, That white momentum truck of mine weighed 500g - less than half the weight of my existing Innisfail-style zecar/slomo guard's van. Glued 300g more lead i...

Re: The Potters Orchid Railway

It seems after sundown the trains stop running for some reason mostly in our hobby. when I get my line finished I will have to get some night time running done me-thinks :thumbright: Yes, evening runs with a wee bit of ...

Re: The Potters Orchid Railway
An absolute cavalcade of locos and stock! Some really impressive slow running, though I think the livestock needed to be rounded up and penned. ..... Rik Typical Queensland, unfenced and live stock getting in the way. "Slomo" goodness is the key to the realistic running with out res...

Gladdies, Captain Plod and MAM and fellow "Foamers and Dribblers" (Gricers) just knocked over a weekend of "When too much steam is just not enough" . 12 stayed over night, over 20 for the pizza feast. Running until Saturday midnight. (Bravo SLR Lamps)Beer and of course wine and ...

Re: The Potters Orchid Railway
Cactus topple, I have no idea but what you do is what I have done with some. Prop them up with a rock. They fall over and then send roots down. One could try and grow a muted sculpture cactus, but you need a bigger pot. In two weeks we have an invite weekend, stay tune for pics and videos. I though...
