Re: Battery Connectors

That Tamiya connector looks at bit worse for wear. If you have soldering skills I suggest replacing them with XT30 or Deans connectors. Easily available from Ebay. I've always found the Tamiya connectors to be horrible - bulky and poor contacts that wear out quickly. Thanks Busted, I do have some c...

It's ge_rik (underscore) if that helps
Thanks, but even though I didn't have the underscore in this thread, it was in the PM I was trying to send to Rik. :thumbright:

Re: Battery Connectors

Hi Rod, the white connector is a Tamiya connector as used on their range of RC cars, these should be available off-the-shelf from most model shops. I can't help with the others unfortunately. If you look at www.componentshop.co.uk and select Leads and connectors you will see a huge variety of types...

I have just tried to send ge-rik a PM and it says ge-rik doesn't exist. So just in case it's a web clinch, this is what I was trying to send. If any other member can assist it would be very much welcome....... So sorry to trouble you. I may have asked this question before. I have just got the batter...

Love the garden and the possibilities are immense. So much potential to expand and enjoy so much, you have long runs, most would kill for, including me....  Don't worry too much about members not replying, some just like to look and they don't find it easy to put to words what they think....

Re: set-track advice

Filcris is expensive Mike. Wouldn't 5mm to 9mm ply do. A 6' x 6' board would do it, you will have loads of room to put anything else on it too. And if you use Flexitrack, you can have whatever radius you need. It's cheaper and lighter. Are you going to be using it for a temporary extension, that can...

Do you keep your buildings outside all year round then?
No, not in extreme conditions, but at least I can carry them without risking either hernia or having them fall apart!

Re: NEW FWLR LINE (UPDATE)

Well another update on our line..... It's finished, well almost, I just need to sort a problem out with the side of the bridge closest to the pond. It is a bit wobbly...but it's an easy sort. DSCN4081.JPG Also just needs the three corners making a little bit rounder and another coat of Shellac, then...

Sorry, only just catching up, haven't been online much lately, but a belated congratulations on a fantastic article. The pictures were superb, particularly the full-page shot showing the whole layout. The combination of your article and the wonderful one by Andrew Crookall last month will indeed do...

Re: Railway Modeller - Brockhampton & Umbridge

I think we need to concentrate on Peter's article and not another debate on the use or not of computers.

Now that Peter is back online.....
