Regner Chaloner and Mamod Brunel

Greetings,

I'm looking at these vertical boiler models. Pretty sweet machines. A question: what/where did the prototype locomotives work? What type of rolling stock were they hauling? What type of railroads were they working on?

Thanks!

Thank you for the replies and info. (I email mamod.uk.co and they don't reply, so I've trained myself off of that avenue.)

Where is this forum: "join the mamod and other steam forum"?

Thanks,

Question About Roadster Kit

Folks, apologies for the non-railroad question, but not seeing another place to post this question. I'm looking at this roadster kit, wondering if "kit" means that it all bolts together rather than riveted construction on the Ready-to-Run versions? I have to imagine that is so, hard to ima...

7/8ths Coaches

Greetings,

Does anyone know if the 7/8ths coaches in this video are offered commercially? Nice looking cars. I would appreciate a pointer if they are.

Best,

-Richard

Thanks for that history Chris, interesting that the tooling has been lost. That explains a lot.

On the re-gauge, is just a new axle set or will I have to move the frames out farther too?

I'll keep watching eBay...

Thanks,

I'll probably buy a van and brake van from MSS, they look to be same as old Mamod. I'd just like to keep everything in the style of the old Mamod RWx cars.

Mamod RW? gray open wagons

Greetings, How hard is it to find Mamod open wagons on the used market? I've been trolling eBay for a month+, not seeing any. Also, I run 45mm, I presume I can just press the wheels out on the axle from 32 to 45mm? I have two maroon Mamod coaches RW5 in 45mm and there is room between the frames for ...

GTB, your locos are looking great there. Thank you all for the pointers and info. I had no idea that those sorts of pens were available. I've got a steady hand and some pre-CAD drafting experience, I think I should be able to figure this out and get reasonable results.

Best!

Lining Roundhouse and Other Cabs

Dear Dignitaries, I live in Utah in the USA. I've been running G1 live steam since I got involved with Ron Brown of Steam in the Garden, and the folks at Aster in Japan (I was living there as an expat) back in 1991. I have so admired the beautiful locomotive lining that many UK 16mm locomotives are ...

Emailing Roy Wood Models

Folks, I have tried to reach Roy Wood Models on this address several times: enquiries@roywoodmodels.co.uk

I'm in the USA so a phone call a bit pricey. That is the email on their web site, is there possibly a better one to use?

Many thanks,

-Richard
