Whistle and servo position In our Lady Ann

We recently had a regulator servo failure in our Lady Ann so while the body was off to replace the servo and set up the regulator I done a short video of the servo mount and whistle lever position. Mounted this way there is no interference with the body removal other than pulling off the silcon stea...

Re: My build thread of the Kerr Stuart Brazil my first real Loco

Done a little more finally closed the boiler up and finshed the smoke box shell, After pressure testing the boiler I decided to paint both the boiler and the smokebox with cylinder head paint which i fired off in the kiln for an hour at 200c http://i1073.photobucket.com/albums/w385/dizzyfpvgirl/2019...

A bigger diesal for the PSLR

After a visitor from up the line visited us last year and enjoyed a day of steaming on the PSLR . We were both instantly in love with one of his locomotives. So thoughts gathered on the purchase of said loco however the ready to run version was indeed a fair few pennies. So since we had a Round hous...

Re: My build thread of the Kerr Stuart Brazil my first real Loco

It's been a while life gets in the way of hobbies sometimes. :D Since I became more involved in the 16mm association and built a lot more rolling stock and a couple of small diesals for our Railway, unfortunatly the little Brazil got shelved but i recently dug her out and re- commenced work on her. ...

Re: Update on the Pasty and Serpentine Light Railway

Hi guys next step completed during a sunny if a bit windy spell, thank for your interest. I am winging it a bit here never built a turntable before, however its become very obvious to me if a bit late that this really needs to be far more accurately made than i first visualized, but hit on the idea ...

Re: Update on the Pasty and Serpentine Light Railway

Thanks peeps for your lovely comments I managed to scrounge some stainless steel sheet today so got stuck in and made a start on the turntable :D I decided to go with a shallow pit turntable and base it on A Ransomes and Rapier design so it stays in keeping with our 2ft gauge Railway . I painted the...

I like the fact that your planning on a couple of passing places within your railway we could do with at least one more ourselves don't be surprised if it grows from your drawing :D Ours did very quickly lol. Good luck on your PW work take your time and enjoy :D regards Steph and Gloria from the PSLR

Update on the Pasty and Serpentine Light Railway

We have realised fairly quickly from visits to other 16mm members Railways that age really needs = easy access for steaming up, however a lower back issue as made me realise that our new Railway being entirely at ground level really needed a steam up area. A lot of thought was put into where and how...
