Lewin 0-4-2t in 16mm
Some time ago I came across a very interesting class of engine built in the 1860s-70s by Stephen Lewin of Poole ./myff/2051309/IMG_20170101_170627.jpg (Sorry about the picture, it was the best (actually the only) one I could find) They were evidently intended for gauges between about 3' to 3'6"...

To avoid loosing nuts and bolts entirely, why not make a wagon fitted up with magnets, so as to collect up ferrous metal fixings? ;) That's a genius idea! :) ;) thanks James! Of coures, it also means you'll be picking up nuts and bolts from other peoples rolling stock also, but better than fixings...

:shock: that is just gorgeous! :D well worth the fettling and tinkering to get such a joy working! Would be great to see these run under their own steam, I do beleive Tom Cooper of merlin models had planned a very attractive colonial 4-4-0 very like that one which evidently never reached production...
