I too prefer the hacksaw to parting off. Good to know it's not just my lack of machining skills to blame - my lathe's only 2" X 12".

PDF can supply a higher voltage motor, if asked.. Thanks, I forgot about that. Unfortunately I'm pretty sure that only applies to the larger "round" can motors used in some of their other locos. The real issue is that it's still only single-axle drive. Past experience tells me I'd be lucky to pull ...

Those ladders top it off perfectly, too.

Another ten down, over a few sessions this week. That makes 20, (two-thirds of the rake done) plus the three navvy trucks. Just another 10, and 4 boneyard trucks to go. Each takes just under 2 hours to convert - and I still have to touch up the paint and convert the storage cassettes. :oops: :oops: ...
