Re: TVT - Down in the Forest Something Stirred

It's not a bad looking loco despite its reputation. Great modelling again mate.

PS. Are you digressing because your other step is a big one!

Re: That Car I Keep Alluding To

A PS to the above,
Pete also said he hoped the front engine mount spring hadn't worn too far through the front cross member. But I see you've been there, done that.

Re: That Car I Keep Alluding To

A thorough job just like you do on your locos Aaron, and you can use the horn without the prince of darkness showing up! I have a little Healey with a Lucas electrical system so know all about the prince. Interestingly, I mentioned your purchase to my club friend and when I said a Tudor with wires a...

Re: That Car I Keep Alluding To

I admire your choice Aaron, I knew it would probably be a Ford from the tail light. A friend down here in Melbourne has three of them (at last count!) so have seen plenty of pics, and yours looks superb. Hope you get to enjoy many happy miles in it.

Yeah! saw that this morning, unbelievable.
After the loco passed the speed sign, I thought this must just be an explanation of what happened, but the truck was still to come.

Mitch,
Do you get the trucks to turn it into a 2-6-2, or are they an extra?

Re: Which Track Manufcturer to go with as of Sep 2023

Hi Fred, Don't know how much sun you get in Eastern PA, I have used AMS track down here in Melbourne and found it to have little to no UV resistance. I remember reading of some in USA complaining of the same thing. They may have fixed the problem (I doubt it) but just to give you a heads up. Mine ha...

Hope your not becoming deceptively delusional Graeme!
The bigger cab definitely takes some of the lengthy appearance away from the original, much better looking.

Glad the paint worked out, looks nice. Of course you're far more patient than I am, I'd be running it round the layout to dry it!!
I never realised how much surface area there is to paint on a paddler, acres and acres and in this weather.
