Re: The Bishop's Woodland Light Railway (BWLR)

Hi Phil, I did put a clip on Twitter a while back but I plan to get some better footage sorted soon and put it on YouTube: https://twitter.com/bwlrpeter/status/1525859551521783812?s=21&t=fAyJMkbs5l5shAtK3AoPJw Beautiful looking loco and from that clip and amazing runner. I do enjoy running manual l...

Re: A row of quarry workers cottages

The roof profile now looks a lot better: To my eye, it's not just the roof looking better - somehow, at least from the photos, it makes the doors look better proportioned too. Perhaps because, relative to the roof height, they are no longer as tall...? Just as an aside I have painted the walls with...

Re: Yr Hen Felin & Yr Orsaf Newydd

Glad some new rivets are on the way. While I'm sure we'd have been happy to have a go, I don't think PLA or ABS would have matched the nylon (resin maybe...?) Admire your patience drilling them all out... but the effort will be worthwhile; having seen the model for real it is going to shape up to be...

Superb result Rik, I really do like these locos. And the open door on the port side of the smokebox is a really nice touch.

Ah the final terminus! That will be Duffws!
Ah, another fine looking station - assume you are modelling it with the 1877 building? I had to pop in there the other week to answer a call of nature!

Duffws gives the option to model an incline too... up to the cabin?

Re: Cab ride

This is a hugely enjoyable watch. Feels like you're there, and it's an impressive and absorbing journey. The only thing that took me out of it was that the trams coming the other way often had no driver at all (and it doesn't quite look like the Docklands Light Railway). But the best thing is how th...

Re: The Railway in the Valley of the Mill

Well this is all very, very exciting. The handrail looks very sturdy, and I would think the risks involved in being hit on the head by an apple are much less severe than stepping off the bank! Tan-y-Grisiau is looking good, as with Dduallt it'll be nice to be able to see the station building since y...

You should be OK. - Famous last words!

Older stickers have a gold ground, the newer ones are silver.
Thanks Phil! It's silver. Sounds like I should be ok for when I do get one of the new Rxs!

If your RC Trains transmitter, has a numbered sticker (located in the battery compartment) I do not believe it will be affected.
Thanks Phil, this is useful. I don't have any of the new Rxs to test with (yet!) but I do have a sticker - 6 digits on a shiny background, right?

Wow, really crisp prints Rik! Are filament or resin - and have you printed the handles and handrails on the GVT coach?

Re: Micron RC - Deltang Rx replacement MR603a

Yes, I understand the MR601 will be 3volts upwards :) 2.5V according to the Micron site - I too was worried that the MR603 was setting a minimum for the Micron versions that was above what Deltang needed (the Rx65 only needs 3V - my enthusiasm for li-ion was initiated when I had to replace 2 NiMH A...

Re: Curved corrugated roof

I think I'd try printing it with a thin side on the bed, possibly with brim to help adhesion. No supports needed as long as your adhesion is up to the task. If its a moving bed printer, orient the long edge in the Y direction so the inertia during movement doesn't try and lever it off the bed. I wo...

Re: Curved corrugated roof

I'll take a look at the code and see if I can understand how it works. Have a fiddle with the constants at the top and see if you can get something in the dimensions you require. Let me know if you want me to explain anything and I'll do my best! The next problem will be to figure out how to print ...
