Thank you everyone, great praise indeed. The station especially in the first shot looks great, even I was taken back when I watched that clip back. I have a 3d printed water tank to go in next, see our facebook page for more.

The hardest problem I'm finding is keeping the servo's dry and working, being outside all year round has meant a lot of swap outs! Not sure if your line allows servos to be mounted underneath the track but I have housed each of my servos in plastic takeaway tubs with drainage holes should any water...

Southgate Light Railway July 2016

A lovely Sunday meant we could steam all our steamers including the lovely coal fired Yvonne. <object width="853" height="480"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/EHzVlPQaOkg?version=3&hl=en_US&rel=0"></param><param name="allowFull...

I've got a similar system for the points but using the following board: http://www.microminiatures.co.uk/acatalog/SERVO.html The points are connected up via CAT5 cable (4 pairs) allowing two servos on each cable back to the controller. I hard a lot of problems with the remote it comes with so purcha...

I think its good Roundhouse don't just make what's popular. We don't want to go to shows and see the same loco on every layout.

I think they've done a good job of keeping the production numbers about right to stay small but not get out done. They always seem to have a good range.

I have 1 in 50 gradients and really enjoy hearing the live steam loco's pull up the hill.

Just think about the length of you train, distance your going and if you curving at the same time. Going up is not a problem, coming down is. I made sure to curve my hills a little to slow a free running loco.

I had this problem when you increased the throttle. The Deltangs have a LiPo protection setting on them which isn't needed for NiMh. Programming info is here: http://www.deltang.co.uk/rx60c-v611-p.htm (Just check I've got right version for your chip) Then under Menu 7 look for LVC (Low Voltage Cut)....

Other than for the Yorkshire Group (who, I believe, have a building) I didn't know that any area groups charged fees. You learn something new... http://www.nwwales.16mm.org.uk/about.html As a Yorkshire group member I can confirm we don't have any fee's. We have some 'sheds' which have space in old ...

Brass may be easier to find than SS.

While its not quite T section have you thought about using old rail?
Thank you for this site, they have a lot of really good stuff. Got some brass on order to test out.

Curious about Stainless - an interesting choice of material - it's hard to work, shines out like a sore thumb for ever, and shrugs off paint. What is it about Stainless that appeals, co there might be another way of doing it. David 1/2d Mainly so I don't need to paint it. I'm going to use it as fen...

Wanting small T section bar

Hi Everyone,

I'm trying to find a supplier of small T section, ideally in stainless steel to make fencing. Does anyone know of any good sites that stock small size metal like this?

Thank You
Rob

I am hoping that when the Lady Anne version of the SSP slomo is finally released I can fit one to my Riverdale Amy. You have fitted a wooden floor into the cab of your Elke Rob which I have wanted to do on my Amy.  Would you mind advising how did you manage it while still having the ability to remo...

Yes it is, as supplied by Riverdale. Sounds a little high pitched at the moment, wasn't like that until the body was put on so I've moved it a little to try and lower the tone.

SLR Yvonne First Run - Riverdale Elke

So after months of work she's finally complete. A Roundhouse Billy with Riverdale Elke conversion, SSP Slo-Mo and locoworks detailing. Beautifully lined by LightLine (G Munday). Still some finishing touches to complete but here you go. <object width="853" height="480"><param name...

As an IT tech with many friends and family who would ring me at a drop of a hat if things went wrong, I can honestly say its 'smooth and seamless'.

It checks for any problems before starting the upgrade so if you have anything it doesn't like you'll know before you take the final plunge.
