3D printed some spacers for fitting the boards on top of the runners The gaps allow wiring to come through as close to where its needed so all hidden IMG_20220917_153045_722.jpg Track then sits on top of that, still to come up with a good way of securing down without directly screwing it to the boar...

Re: New Beginning for 2022

Ref air controlled points. It was a no brianer for me in north east England. Keeping the power connection to the track reliable is hard enough through the winter. With the SVR kit I have had no failures since 2016 except snagged air lines due to being buried by me (lesson learned) Reashearching it s...

Re: New Beginning for 2022

After much planning and deciding, work is now underway.

Decided in the end to just rip up the whole garden and start again from a level base.

Re: New Beginning for 2022

Good idea to include a continuous loop, to my mind. Opens up quite a few more possibilities. Rik Hi Rik Yes that was one of the main points, it was a pain running through the storage all of the time for every loop on the old one, at least now they can just run around the loops with a lot less chanc...

(Under computer control)
Normally 4 as I'm planning on using the main loops (newest part) for most of the running but up to 6 if using the loop through the garage and various sets running too and from the storage in the garage.

Agreed, if starting again I would have no sidings with buffers, I'm only down to the storage in the garage plus one very raerly used loco storage siding outside and can live with that

Re: UK Rolling Stock in G - Project not yet started

Thats an impressive build. My thoughts precisely! I wondered what it was going to become when I saw the shot of the framework, but it certainly looks the bee's knees - or should it be bees' knees.... ?? - I suspect it must be the latter owing to the size of the structure. Is the top shelf going to ...
