I bought some hornby tinplate track to use on an oval and coal yard but the point levers got in Ragleth s way. So I sawed them off. As they re not really needed on the overgrown yard I though I d use the on the Peco points( old ones I bought) havnt done it yet but its just a bit of wire and screw...

AVOID them i just spent £30 on bits of plastic that might aswell just be for show they are appauling, does anyone have any suggestions on better ones

Thanks for all the replies! The compost was in there for moss growth :) tried another mix with less sand more cement, but same outcome again, ( maybe the water is washing the cement away who knows :S) But i have decided to go back and try using some 'wet' mix, quite runny and applying by hand after ...

Hi, yesterday i put down some ballast in the form of 4 parts sharp sand 1 part fine compost and 1 part cement ( the rapid stuff) mixed together for about 2 mins, then applied dry, brushed in and then watered using a watering can with the 'rose' head turned so its facing upwards, but today i come to ...
